Optical communication technology to large-scale use had laid a good foundation for the rapid development of the national economy.Because of the fiber optic cable has a higher number,large capacity,long transmission distance,once the cable is bound,it'll cause great harm to society.To this end,quality assurance of fiber optic communication lines,fiber optic cable real-time process monitoring,in the cable to solve problems before, the current fiber optic cable is an important task of safeguarding.The current cable insulation defect is the key indicators to measure cable insulation layer on the resistivity.Now the major domestic to use artificial to the various sub-site of the insulation resistance measurement,time-consuming effort and can not be done real-time forecasting.In order to realize the actual state of the fiber optic cable in real time, accurate monitoring without going to the sub-site,On the basis of a large number of literature of domestic and international monitoring of the communications cable researches, a set of real-time online monitoring of fiber optic cable retaining layer-to-ground insulation resistance of the system had been designed.The system is capable of real-time monitoring of the humidity conditions inside cable box and layer-to-ground insulation resistance and uploading the measurement data to the Monitoring Center,then we could judge the case of cable breakage in advance.Thesis completed the Monitoring System's two parts of circuit design,including the Monitoring station and Outposts,The Outpost completes the work of monitoring the humidity conditions inside cable box and layer-to-ground insulation resistance,the internal circuitry including the circuit of storing the power supplied by the Monitoring station, voltage conversion circuit,measurement circuit,communications circuit;The Monitoring station completes the work of providing power to the Outposts,command control and receiving the data form the Outposts,the internal circuitry including the power supply circuit,send control commands to the Outposts,process the data from the Outposts,and so on. Finally a series of experiments had been done on the each part of the Outposts and Monitoring station,the Outposts can monitor the humidity conditions inside cable box and layer-to-ground insulation resistance,sent the measurement information to the Monitoring station,the Monitoring station can provide the Electricity,instructions to Outposts,the communication between Outposts and the Monitoring station can engage in normal,the system meet the design requirements,be able to work properly,and have the ability to cable retaining layer of insulation resistance to real-time monitoring.
