Desktop Virtual Experiment has been applied in experiment teaching broadly, but its weak immersion is one of primary influencing factors of the effects of teaching.Many scholars from different domains had deeply studied the issue, without excellent results.Similarly based on"desktop", computer games cause game players to immerse deeply, so it will hugely improve the immersion of virtual experiment to transplant the factors of affecting immersion of computer games to the design of desktop virtual experiment.The research resolves the primary factors of immersion based on digging the correlative theories of desktop virtual experiment, and probes into the strategies to improve the immersion of desktop virtual experiment,which include the primary factors and their applications.The thesis expounds the process of instituting and utilizing the strategies.The exordium discusses the research context, frontier research, research feasibility, research content and research methods.The main body discusses the instituting instance and actualizing process of strategies in four parts. In the first part, the thesis dug the foundational theories based on lots of correlative immersion researches for virtual experiment and computer games.First, the paper resolves the characteristics of"immersion", and then analyzes and expounds the basic theories——Emotional Design Theory, Flow Theory and Hierarchy of Need Theory.In the second part, the thesis expounds the enlightenment which the games immersion research brings to desktop virtual experiment design, it is the methods of the designer transplant the fruits of games immersion research to the virtual experiment design.In this part, the paper firstly discusses the factors of affecting games immersion, and then it expounds the revelation, and it provides the sustainment for instituting strategies.The third part is the core of the thesis, which is the strategies to improve the immersion.The strategies can be decomposed into the physiological improvement strategies and the psychological improvement strategies.Physiological improvement strategies are supported by Emotional Design Theory, and it brings strategies from vision and ear.Psychological improvement strategies are supported by Flow Theory and Hierarchy of Need Theory, and it brings forward strategies from the balance of challenges and skills, keeping attention of students and the needs of students.In the fourth part, the thesis develops an example with the strategies.According to the situation of the application for the virtual experiment, the thesis chooses a university physics demonstration as an example.The thesis makes a program of strategies first, and then presents the applying process of strategies with the flow of developing example, and makes out the advice for designing finally.The process of applying strategies is maneuverable for the virtual experiment designer.The conclusion part makes a summary of the viewpoint and demonstration, pointing out the characteristic as well as the deficiency of this research.How to improve the immersion of desktop virtual experiment is still a difficult problem in virtual experiment research at present.The author hopes that the achievement of this thesis can use the little to get the big.Considering the present condition of teaching in our country, it is an economic and realistic choice for universities to build a desktop virtual experiment system with deep immersion. |
