Research And Realization Of Distance Education System Based On IP Multicast Technology

With the fast development of computer network and multi-media techology, as one kind of new type teaching mode, the distance education has the special significance in fully utilizing education resources, meeting the demands of life-long education, education for all the people as well as socializing education in the informaiton society, accelerating our country education cause development. As a hot research field of modern education, the distance video teaching system realized the synchronous teaching and transmits teaching scene images,voice,and teaching resources to remote students'terminals or more live classrooms synchronously,and is now widely used as a important supplement and expanding to traditional school education.Remote Education System is a multidisciplinary, multi-technology and multi-subsystem Systems engineering. This thesis have made a design proposal about a real-time, interactive, low consumption of network resources' distance video teaching system which considered sufficiently Chinese person study pattern ,with studying the key technology used on the system,such as H.323 standard framework technology for multi-media communications and IP Multicast Technology. Also this thesis discussed the requirements and realization of the teachers and students terminals function which include video lectures, voice chat, text chat, file transfer, classroom monitoring and classroom management. At last,this thesis completed the main functions of the system.This thesis made reference to the distance teaching platform of East China Normal University's Institute of Distance Education and learned her advanced concept of distance teaching and management methods. On this basis, the thesis have made an ideas of Presenter screen switching and the Real-time monitoring of the classroom.
