In recent years, with the industrial development precision measurement technology had been in great demand, especially Large-size measuring system is becoming the keystone of scientific and technological research. As a new Large-size measuring system, wMPS(Workspace Measurement Position System) had many advantages, such as multi-point real-time measurement, tracking ,high accuracy ,and so on. So it had a broad application prospect in large-scale industrial manufacturing and assembly areas.wMPS combined the working principle of theodolite, and used the method of intersection point to measure three-dimensional coordinates of space points. Differently, the points automated measurement of the space coordinates was completed through transmitter rotating infrared laser fan-shaped face and the laser fan-shaped face intersecting in wMPS, and that was a major improvement of Large-size space measurement and targeted way.Measurement model was established and simulation was done in wMPS measurement system in this article. According to the measurement principle of wMPS, the system's various components of the system and the main impact measurement system parameters was analyzed, and a system of the geometric and analytical model was established, and Calculation method was studied. Because of the constraint between the transmitters and receivers and the complexity of measurement system to space rendezvous, it was required strictly to the various parameters of the transmitters and receivers. Through simulation we found the important parameters which influenced the measurement. Using Matlab with the applicable Optimization to simulation, the calibration of the system and method of measurement methods coordinate space was studied. And through the simulation results and analysis of errors, important theoretical basis was obtained, it is very useful for the transmitter and receiver hardware design, and for compensation and correction of errors. And it laid the foundation for software programming through simulation.
