Combining the embedded computer technology and the blind source separation (BSS) method, this paper introduces the design and realization of a real time data acquisition system based on USB, which is of practical significance.The design scheme of the system, which consists of the embedded real time operating system(RTOS) platform, the USB interface, the device application software and the host application software, is mainly based on the ARM development board STM320V100 and the Windows 2000 operating system. Firstly, the building of the embedded RTOS platform is realized by grafting theμC/OS-II 2.52 kernel on ARM microprocessor STM32F103VBT6. Secondly, the USB link between host and device is built up by developing both the host driver and the device firmware. Furthermore, through the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) RealView MDK 3.2 on Windows 2000 operating system, we realize each task or thread of the data acquisition system based on the RTOSμC/OS-II. Finally, in order to control and employ the device from the host, we realize the application program on the host side using the Visual C++6.0 on Windows 2000 Operating System.Based on the embedded system, a data acquisition system of BSS for speech signal is developed in this thesis to realize the real time speech signal collecting. This data acquisition system is of profound practical significance and it guarantees further research on BSS.
