With the rapid development of the computer networks technology and the increasing dimension of control problem, feedback control systems connected via a serial communication channel, which are called networked control systems (NCS), has obtained more and more attention in control community. Compared with conventional point-to-point control systems, the advantages of NCS are less wiring, lower install cost as well as greater agility in diagnosis and maintenance. However, the introducing communication networks into the control loops makes the analysis and design of NCS complicated, due to random network-induced delays, data packet dropouts as well as single- packet or multiple-packet transmission. The key issues of network-induced delays and data packet dropouts in the networked control systems are studied in this thesis. Main achievements are listed as follows Firstly, the feedback controller is designed for networked control systems with both time-delay and data packet dropout. NCS is modeled as an asynchronous dynamical-switched systems,by using Lyapunov function and LMI toolbox in Matlab , we can determine the delay-dependent exponential stability of an NCS constrained by packet dropout rates.Secondly, study the stability of the uncertain networked control systems with network induced delays and data packet dropout by considering a packet dropout as a special kind of delay. A dynamic feedback controller was introduced to stabilize the NCS and improve their dynamic performance, the expression of total network-induced delay including the sensor-to-controller delay and the controller-to-actuator delay is presented, the NCS model established. By constructing Lyapunov function, using LMI technique to prove the theorem to determine the stability of the system...
