With the rapid development of the computer networks technology and the increasing dimension of control problem, feedback control systems connected via a serial communication channel, which are called networked control systems(NCS), has obtained more and more attention in control community. Compared with conventional point-to-point control systems, the advantages of NCS are less wiring, lower install cost as well as greater agility in diagnosis and maintenance. However, the introducing communication networks into the control loops makes the analysis and design of NCS complicated, due to random network-induced delays, data packet dropouts as well as single- packet or multiple-packet transmission. The key issues of network-induced delays and data packet dropouts in the networked control systems are studied in this thesis. Main achievements are listed as follows:(1)The feedback controller is designed for Networked control systems with both time-delay and data packet dropout. An iterative approach is proposed to analyze the dropout of data packet. The controller makes use of the old information to control the system when the current state measurement can not be obtained by the controller instantly, by modeling Networked control systems as switched models. Sufficient conditions of the stabilization of feedback controller of NCSs are presented based on piecewise Lyapunov function theory, switched systems theory and Linear Matrix Inequality method. The simulation example is presented to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.(2)The problem of non-fragile guaranteed cost control via of state feedback is investigated for a class of networked control systems with both stochastic network-induced delay and data packet dropout and quadratic cost index. The networked control systems can be modeled as Markovian jump linear systems with two operation models. Based on the theory of Markovian jump linear systems and Linear Matrix Inequality method, the sufficient condition of non-fragile guaranteed cost control via of state feedback for networked control systems is presented, and the non-fragile guaranteed cost controller is the solution of a set of Linear matrix inequalities.
