According to the characteristics of LFMCW radar, this thesis reveal the basic relations between the system parameters. The analysis indicate the characteristic of the beat signal of LFMCW radar. Attentions are also paid to the LFMCW signal's range and velocity resolution, range-velocity coupling problem. We also discuss the characteristics of mutil-cycle beat signal of symmetrical triangle LFMCW radar. In this paper, the spectrums of beat signal of moving target among multi-cycle are also researched. Based on above analysis, we make use of the different characteristics of beat signal of moving target and state target in frequency domain to realize MTI of LFMCW radar.Beat signal from high velocity target will migrate range resolution cells. In this condition, an improved method of MTI is introduced. Based on the Similarity of MTD between Pulse radar and LFMCW radar and that the beat signal are modulated by Doppler frequency in LFMCW radar, so we can separate the targets with the different velocity at each range cell. Algorithm and result of computer simulation are given in the paper. The method of CFAR, coherent integration and improving the range precision of LFMCW radar are also introduced. In dense-moving target condition, in order to eliminate the phenomenon that the weak target is covered by strong target nearby, based on FFT and Chirp-Z transform, this paper has proposed a method to realize weak target extraction.Depending on the specific algorithm and simulation results in the above analysises, we develop a signal processor of LFMCW radar based on AD company's the common digital signal processor TS201S, the author mainly design the hardware of signal processor.
