Research And Design Of Vehicle Monitoring Terminal Based On WinCE

Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is dedicated to realizing the informationization, intelligentization and socialization of transportation system. And it can solve the problems of transportation in the city. Thus it is paid more attention by every country of the world especially the developed countries. Vehicle monitoring terminal which is the key part of ITS is the direct way to take party in the ITS.This paper mainly researches and designs a vehicle monitoring terminal based on WinCE. It integrates the contents of GPS. embedded technology. GIS. network communication, information management etc. And it is important for monitoring and navigating vehicle, ensuring the safety of transportation in the city.This paper introduces the present situation of the vehicle monitoring terminal's development at home and abroad, and proposes the overall design of the system. The whole system uses modular structure, the hardware platform uses the layered architecture which separates the core-board and the interface board; the software uses the Windows CE embedded system. This paper explains the whole vehicle monitoring system. The vehicle monitoring system is composed by vehicle terminal,communication network,monitoring center. As the important function unit, vehicle terminal is made up of MCU, GPS receiver module,memory unit, human-computer interactive interface and so on. And this paper introduces the hardware design of the vehicle monitoring terminal,the development of driver,the creation of kernel image and the design of the system application, discusses the implementation process from theory analysis,hardware structure to the realization of software in detail, then shows the resolved problems of vehicle information terminal.
