Currently, people attach importance to the new type passive location technique which detects and locates the objects by using the electromagnetic wave transmitted by the civil TV stations and FM broadcasts as irradiation points. Because of the distinct concealment and anti-concealment, the research about the system has important strategic significance. At present the method of PRC( phase rate of change) is one of the system's core techniques and it's location precision and speed is higher than conventional passive location ways. At the same time, current study mostly focuses the arithmetic emulation and hardware simulation and can't be used in the practical location in deed. To press closer to the engineering practice, starting the research of the technique of measuring the parameters for the passive location system possesses great theoretical and practical significance.Based on the achievement of PRC location hardware platform, we investigated the design of software and hardware about the passive location's parameter measurement system in details. Main research results are as follows:1. Build a mathematical model of PRC measurement system, and analyzed the system key techniques: the achievement of high speed filter and accurate local oscillation.2.Based on the technology of DSP Builder, proposed a simple and feasible way to design the high speed filter and local oscillation, and implemented the measurement model in Matlab software.3.After the results of emulation showed that the system satisfies the request of the parameters, introduced the material method of converting the model file to VHDL file and completed the whole system software design by using the functions of IP core.4.According as the resource the software system used, chosen the appropriate FPGA chip and put forward a scheme of hardware. Aiming at the crucial problems (e.g. the sampling clock's synchronization, the restrain of noise and temperature drift), the scheme brought forth corresponding solutions.
