Wireless Sensor Network(WSN),a novel research aspect of computer science technology, is an extreme promising method at many application aspects.The characteristics of WSN different from traditional networks have brought a lot of new challenges to its information processing technology.Therefore,they have caused great attentions of academia and industrial researchers.Since sensory information of enormous sensor nodes is very huge,communication cost in WSN is the main factor of energy consumption.Therefore,how to reduce energy consumption of communication in WSN is the primary problem.Collaborative information processing technology is one of promising methods to handle extremely huge and highly redundant sensory information effectively.This article dedicates to Distributed Source Coding (DSC) based on collaborative information processing technology of WSN.DSC is one kind of coding technologies which encodes jointly but decodes independently.Comparing with traditional code technologies,DSC can shift coding complexity from encoder to the decoder by considering source correlation in the decoder.As a result,DSC is suitable for WSN with resource-limited sensor nodes especially.The main work in this article is described as follows:1.Asymmetry Distributed Source Coding based on Turbo code(TADSC) is proposed and realized in this article.In the TADSC scheme,encoder and decoder of Turbo code,confidence degree of communication channel have been modified considering the correlation model among sensory information in WSN.Simulation results carried out by MATLAB verified the performance of TADSC.2.Since the asymmetric characteristic of TADSC may result in asymmetric energy consumption of sensor nodes,where a few sensor nodes would die too early due to energy usage asymmetry,so as to diminish network lifetime,TADSC doesn't suitable for homogeneous WSN. Therefore,symmetric distributed source coding based on Turbo(TSDSC) scheme is realized through keeping some information sequence in the encoder etc.Simulation results verified that TSDSC didn't have too much loss in coding performance comparing with TADSC.3.Most researches of DSC is related with two correlative sources at present,however,there are many sensor nodes monitoring the same event source.Multi-source DSC must be investigated while applying to real WSN.At aspect of applying DSC in WSN,this article attempts to expand two-dimensional TSDSC to multi-source TSDSC(MTSDSC) scheme based on the proposed correlation model of sensor nodes and topology structure of WSN.Recently,there are a few primary researches dedicating to how to apply DSC in WSN,but practical outcomes of such aspect are almost blank.This article attempted to investigate multi-source symmetrical DSC technology.Moreover,multi-source DSC scheme was applied in network topology of WSN.Consequently,this article provided a novel feasible way at aspect of practical usage.
