Development Of WEB System Based On Struts Framework

Struts is a kind of Framework which is based on J2EE platform and implements MVC model. Struts Framework has generally lightened the burden when constructing multilayers of Web application and applied reuseable software structure. Struts Framework has received recognition in world wide scope when it is been used. When Struts Framenwork is applicated in Web application, the system developers can consentrate on the real function of the system.The paper mainly introduces the development of a Mobile E-Learning System which based on Struts Framework. The paper has a foundation of MVC model and web application with Struts Framework. According to the software engineering implementation process, the development process of the Mobile e-Learning System is described following the steps of requirement analysis, system designing, system implementation and system test. It reflects the convenience brought to the developers which came from a mature framework.In the principle of"80% of knowledge is coming from informal study for the employee", this system is implemented as tentative system of Hitachi Company, which on the purpose of employee's informal study. On the basis of reserving the functions of normal e-Learning system, a phone mail sending function is added into the Mobile e-Learning System. Mails are sent to the system phone users in fixed time and quantity which includes study contents and answers by the mail sending function, as a kind of attempt of supporting informal study. The system has got great successful in Hitachi company, which also means the potential market of the informal study supporting e-Learning system in enterprise level.
