The technique of bi-static (multi-static) radar exploiting external illuminators is a very important research aspect in designing of new style radar system. The new style radars take full advantages of conventional radars, as well as have quite strong viability. This radar system is paid more attention due to its advantages of'four counteraction'. Exploiting this radar system for moving target image has abroad applications in many aspects such as classify, recognition of target, and so on. Based on bi-static radar and ISAR imaging, a discourse of using multiple television stations and a single receiver to realize the rotating imaging of moving target is presented in the paper. An imaging model of multi-static passive radar is built; the texture of echo signals in passive radar imaging system is analyzed. The relationship between the target scattering function and the echo signal holds to be a Fourier transform pair was deduced. Then it presents two passive radar imaging algorithms, which is referred to as DFT algorithm and polar coordinates algorithm, both of them use multiple television stations as transmitters. The imaging simulations are performed using 15 television station signals as the external illuminators. In the end, the performance analysis and comparison demonstrate the feasibility of the two algorithms. The factors that influence the image quality are also discussed at the end of this dissertation. |
