The technique of bi-static (multi-static) radar exploiting external illuminators is a very important research aspect in designing of new style radar system, this radar system is paid more and more attention due to the advantages of its'four counteraction', and employing this radar system for moving object image has abroad applications in many aspects such as classification, recognition of object, and so on. Based on bi-static radar, in the paper, a discourse of using multiple television stations and a single receiver to realize the rotating imaging of moving target is presented, then how to identify the ARM target is discussed, which based on the technology of imaging the moving target. In the discussion of image technology, an imaging model of multi-static passive radar is built; the texture of echo signals in passive radar imaging system is analyzed. The relationship between the target scattering function and the echo signal holds to be a Fourier transform pair was deduced. Then it presents a DFT imaging algorithm, it uses multiple television stations as transmitters. The imaging simulations are performed using 15 television station signals as the external illuminators, and it shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. In the recognition of the ARM target, this paper uses Hu invariant moment to extract the features of the targets, then uses 10 planes and 10 ARMs to get the average feature vectors of the targets, we use the similarity of the Euclidian distance to complete the target recognition, the accuracy of the recognition is high, this demonstrates the feasibility of the recognition algorithm.
