Research And Development Of Basic Product On Weather Data Analysis

Weather forecast and weather prediction is very important for industry and agriculture and national economy development. Analyzing those datum received from weather radar can help us find some kind of bad weather, so we can take some actions to avoid damage. Weather forecast is not a simple thing as it looks like. It is a very huge system project. Weather forecast uses many types of detection measure and is based on the theory of atmosphere science. Doppler weather radar is widely used in our country and some other countries for weather forecast.This paper is based on weather data processing. It mainly deals with the basic products such as basic reflectivity, composite reflectivity, and cross section of basic reflectivity. Firstly, data obtained by radar is preprocessed, and transformed to suitable format. Then we transform data from spherical coordinates to Cartesian coordinates. Finally, we develop each product using different algorithms. Experiments demonstrate our products reflect weather condition properly and clearly. This paper also has done some work on automatic identification of bow echo.
