TD-SCDMA is the 3rd generation international mobile telecommunication standards put forward by China. We have finished a series of international standardization work, such as standards expert group evaluation, IUT authorization and issuance, amalgamation with 3GPP and new technical character import since it was refered to ITU in 1998. Sequentially TD-SCDMA standards is the first wireless telecommunication standards which is put forward by China, and is widely accepted and recognized by other countries, and its major intellectual property is owned by our country. This is an important milestone in the telecommunication history of China.In this paper,the designing and implementation for IMA Protocol of base station controller in the TD-SCDMA System is deeply studied.The author firstly brings forward a interface model which is based on IMA technology and this model is can adoped in TD-SCDMA System.This discourse discuss the design and description for the IMA interface of RNC sub-system of TD-SCDMA in detail . It points out the IMA interface demands of the RNC System.Also analyse the interface parameter.On this base ,the data model of software and the hardware scheme are provided concreteiy.The working flow and performance parameter of key devices are particularly expatiated.On the other hand the connecting model of IMA protocol , transfer principle, Frame Model definition, internal scheduling, group management and key technologies such as QoS management, and IMA internal Jump process all be deeply analysed.The research production in this paper has been applied successfully to the design and implementation in the IMA interface equipments of RNC Sub-system TDR3000 equipments of TD-SCDMA system in Datang Mobile Co.
