ABSTRACT:With the deepening of TD-SCDMA industrialization and its commercialization process, many terminal products manufacturers gradually go into the white box together to reconcile and the integration testing stage from R & D stage, which marks the terminal industry chain that as an important part in TD-SCDMA industry chain having been formatted. The main function of the terminal communication protocol stack depends on correctly implemented, and only rely on the correct terminal understanding and implementing on the protocol stack, the user's communication needs can be met and communication quality can be guaranteed. So it should be carried out as early as possible on the TD-SCDMA terminal protocol conformance test aspects of the work, and designed interoperability conformance testing method to detect whether the terminal protocol stack implementation in line with the 3GPP protocol specifications from different manufacturers to ensure TD-SCDMA terminals in the network environment can Interconnect, which has great significance on the TD-SCDMA industry and commercial development.Then this article gives a detailed introduction about the air interface protocol signaling that TD-SCDMA protocol conformance concerns. TD-SCDMA system can be divided into three parts according to function:the core network (CN), the radio access network (UTRAN) and user equipment (UE), and the interface between user equipment and the radio access network is known as the radio interface port. The TD-SCDMA terminal protocol conformance testing is to verify whether the implementation of the terminal is consistent with relevant norms of protocols.This paper introduces a protocol conformance test system and thus leads to its protocol conformance test language TTCN, and gives a research on the application of TTCN in the terminal protocol conformance testing. As TD-SCDMA protocol conformance testcases released by 3GPP are described in natural language, we need to use programming language for secondary development of these testcases, and these testcases will be the final certification of the Terminal Conformance Testing. TTCN is the representation of conformance testing suite, compared to the previous interoperability test cases written language has unparalleled advantages:TTCN independent of the protocol and test methods,nice applicability and portability and there is no ambiguity results, etc., which greatly improved the reliability and efficiency of the protocol conformance test. This article is based on TTCN language used in the development of methods, and its development tool is TTCN Suite6.0 provided by company Telelogic AB.Finally, this article gives a research on the realization process of TD-SCDMA protocol conformance test through a complete 3GPP test case and analyzes the test result. At first, R & D personnel need to study the relevant protocol specification of test cases, then construct the test case composed by ASP, PDU, and TEST STEP in TTCN through the purpose of testing protocol specification and test method, and at last generate the executable test suite for the terminal conformance testing. The research and development of testcases on TD-SCDMA terminal protocol conformance testing realize its certification which makes the terminals of different manufacturers in the TD-SCDMA network have consistent performance and the ability to interconnect, and this also could ensure the developers of terminal have a standard to follow, so as to keep the quality of commercial operation of TD-SCDMA.
