Campus Network Performance Analysis And Optimization

With the rapid development of network and communications technology, many different resolutions are proposed . And we can implement campus network in different ways. Researches on the characteristics of the traffic on the network are significant to the improvement of network speed and the elimination of bottle-necks. They are the foundation of network design and optimization. And they are very important components of network management.First of all, the paper concludes some important facts which must be considered during the course of network design and sums up several reference models. Based on the reference models, according to the running state of campus network, the paper presents performance analysis about the campus network, including the two aspects of structure analysis and network traffic analysis. Through these analysis some problems which are in dire need of resolution are pointed out, such as the problems of network structure and network secure. Secondly, some improved methods are discussed contraposing the above problems. Finally, from the view of network management, this paper provides an new scheme which significantly optimizes the campus network by building a secure network management system of the campus network. It is shown through practice that above scheme outperform the old one.
