Research On Health Care DSS Based-on Data Warehouse

With the application of computer science to management, a large number of data can be made the best for management and support auxiliary. From 1970's decision support system(DSS) came into being on the basis of management informantion system(MIS).The DSS is based on a large volumne of data.How to get valuable information from these mess data has become a necessary demandand.The data warehouse provides the base for data analysis such as data mining,On-Line Analytical Processing(OLAP) and reporting.And these techniques made it easier for decision make.Based on ACH information system of Ox International Inc.,a solution of DSS was presented.Firstly,according to the insurance business we established multi-dimension data model; Secondly, extract historic data from source database and store it in data warehouse; Finally, using OLAP and data mining technologies do various complex analyses on those data in order to get useful information which could support decision-making.In this thesis, the key techniques of DSS based on data warehouse have been explored, which include:(1)Analyze the generation and development of DSS,and discuss the feasibility of this solution.(2)Analyze the key techniques of DSS.In this thesis,we discuss the architecture of the data warehouse,and how to design and implement it.Give out the basic principal and process of data mining.and study the different algorithm of data mining.discuss the basic function and implement of OLAP. Introduce the software platform, especially the ETL and analysis service.(3)Study the original information system and historic data.design the data warehouse and implement on SQL Server 2005.Using data mining and OLAP to find useful information for decision making.The solution has been used in ACH information system. Now, it is running on the safe side and supporting the decision-making well.
