Automotive industry is one of the most representative and vigorous industries in modern manufacturing. Many new demands are put forward in monitoring and management of automobile assembly line to meet the needs of developing modern automotive industry. Real-time data acquisition and transmission is the basis of production monitoring system, witch is the development direction of modern production management. At present, PCs or PLCs are basically used as the main monitoring method in industry, witch waste resources and improve the cost of production.Based on the full study of research status in domestic and overseas, the embedded technology is introduced into monitoring and management systems of automobile assembly line, and an embedded system integrated with real-time production data acquisition and displaying is designed and developed in this paper, aimed at the requirement of production information acquisition and displaying in automobile assembly.This paper firstly proposes the overall plan and key technologies of system implementation, and then introduces the method and process of system implementation in detail from the two aspects of hardware design and software design. In hardware design, the optimized circuit design is accomplished with full consideration of electromagnetic compatibility. In software design, the embedded real-time operating systemμC/OS-Ⅱis transplanted, and the video display application with VGA is developed, and the Ethernet-based data acquisition and embedded web server based on transplant of embedded TCP/IP protocol stack are also accomplished.The experiments and preliminary application indicate that the embedded production data acquisition and displaying system designed in this paper can implement real-time information acquisition and processing through Ethernet, and the real-time information can not be only displayed without PCs or PLCs, but also browsed by remote access. The system has features of simple in structure, low cost, easy-to-use and so on, and it provides a new technology means for real-time information acquisition and monitoring in production process.
