With the advent of the knowledge-based economy, enterprises have come to recongnize that knowledge is the most valubale asset. In modern industrial production, 60% to 90% of the industrial produce have to be molded by mold, so the mold industray has become the basis for industry development.Mold, as a high value-added technology-intensive product, its technology level has become an important evaluation index of a country's manufacturing industry, C Enterprise , its main product is mold, is professional in mold,is professional in mold desgning,manufacturing and machining. Now the new product changes more and more quickly, then the period of the mold manufacture is shorten. The mold design is the begin phase of the period of the mold life, erery mold designer faces the same question how to improve the rate of design.In this thesis, we have done analyse the plastic mold design flow and difficult, bringed forward the plastic mold quick design technolgy structure based on knowledge based engineer, and found the main facts about affecting the plastic mold rapid design.Though the typical machine------slide analyse, show the process of realizating theplastic mold 3D design. In order to improve the technology of the plastic mold quick design, we made EMX secondary development. We collected the knowledge of the mold design, then integrated knowledge with software, and ultimately realize the 3D design of mold. We made some very simple and useful tools with the second development of Pro/E, improved the rate of the mold design.
