The Development And Realization Of MBUS Module Used In Switch

Nowdays,embedded equipment have been penetrated into daily life. From ordinary MP3 player, digital camera to complicated GPS navigation system, from mobile phone used in everyday to Set-Top Box, switch, router and robot in communication fields etc,embedded equipment can be seen everywhere. With the volume expanded and structure complicated in these devices, how to fast and efficently supervise the states of them had became a new problem. So the MBUS (Maintenance Bus) protocols have been brought forward to manage and control parts of the equipment itself. The development of MBUS managing system in this thesis is directed to S12500-family switches based on Clos framework of H3C Hang Zhou Ltd. . By means of serial bus (CAN ,I2C,UART), MBUS module achieves the purpose of turning on and off the power supply , the temperature controlling and the software updating of the LC( Line Card ) and the SFC(Switch Fabric Card) .This thesis introduces from the background of MBUS, including the concept and application about the serial bus home and aborad. Then,it demonstrates the principles about serial bus (including CAN Bus,I2C Bus,RS232 Bus)used in MBUS module and composition of hardware applied in MBUS. After this ,it develops the drivers for the hardware and bootloader program according to the interface in the hardware. The drives for hardware include initialization,transmiting and receiving, and the ISR. Also,on the base of bottom drivers , it realizes the top application and extension of communication protocol. At last, it elaborates the principles of ISP(In System Programming) and IAP (In System Programming)popularly used in embedded system. Also, it represents the course of IAP in detail according to LPC2366 used MBUS module.The principle and realisation about serial buses and programming in LPC2366 have been widely used in potable embedded system. So the solutions in this thesis can give somewhat references to practical usage.
