LCD display not only use the full-color display technology, itsprinciple is also easy to understand. as the margin of LCD screen is moreand more narrow, the LCD splicing has advantages of high resolution, highcolor saturation, large viewing Angle, flexible combination and longservice life, healthy and environmental, low maintenance cost,which makeit get more and more application in the market of large display splicing.In2015, China will be fully into the time of HD and HD is bound touse liquid crystal as a good support of its development. Over the nextthree to five years, the popularity of LCD will be more and more fast,HD display is the major product of the future, such as television usedby a family, including commercial display, will turn to HD signal. themonitoring system of finance and bank, are in renovation of HD, and usehigh-definition cameras having high-definition images, which ensure moresecurity,the trend of society makes the LCD display will inevitablybecome a mainstream. The small size LCD display as the basis of j the LCDdisplay splicing, its quality control in the process of the productionis crucial, if hasing error detection, the defect of a "small size" LCDdisplay will cause the entire display to be unqualified products, whichis a huge waste of time, manpower and material resources. At present, thedetectiong of LCD defect detection relies mainly on the human eyerecognition, which requires a lot of manpower and the efficiency is low,so th intelligent detection appears, it can be truly high efficiency, highstability of the real-time detection. In this paper,based on the gray image of LCD display, we havea in-depth study of "line defects"and"the point defect"in the small sizeLCD dispay, which uses the "white balance", the ranks of gray-levelprojection and image processing methods such as the threshold value fora great deal of experiment and experiment test, obtaining the satisfactoryresults, the intelligent detection has been basically achieved in, ofcourse, there are also a lot of shortcomings, these are the directionof improvement and optimization in the future.
