Management Information System (MIS) is a pure software system used for business management, which has an objective to satisfy business requirement and bases on the platform that is built by using the techniques of data collection and transportation, computer network, database and multi-media. It is useful in data and information sharing among various business systems, and by this way builds a system with function of query, schedule or aided decision-making. It involves lots of fields: management science, system science, operational research, statistics and computer science. With the development of management methods computer technology, and network technology, it is urgent to establish a MIS adjusted to one's organization.Based on the analysis of current state, application, R&D strategy and method, and basic technology of MIS, author developed an advanced, effective, practical research on MIS. According to the real situation of Guizhou University, and comparing all current methods, the system uses Client/Server mode, .Net technology and SQL Server database.The design of interface is human-oriented, not only at main interface but also at login interface, query interface, as well as form generation interface. The system has complete functions, convenient operations, as well as different interfaces oriented different Clients. There are several specialties in system security:①Setting different security level according to volume and sensitivity of data.②User can only use the function corresponding to his/her identity.③The means of data operation are different, the security levels will be different.④Paying more attention to server ensures system security.
