With the rapid development of China's economy and the improvement of people's living conditions, the private cars have begun to universal. Parking and backing is becoming a major problem to drivers , because of the large increment of cars and new drivers.It is necessary to develope an intelligent visulable backing system to improve the efficiency and security of parking and backing. The subject is developed in this circumstance.Fist of all, this paper presents backing radar and rear monitoring that are now widely used in backing assistant. It also presents the principles and characters of the two technologies. It raises the practical significance of the intelligent visulable backing system after analyzing the difference of parking assistant in home and foreign countries. The system is carried out by using multimedia digital signal processor. The sestem is based on the ICETEK-DM642-C board of REALTIME Technology CO.,LTD.And it is combined with the circuits of measuring distance by ultrasonic and turning information.The functions of the system include measuring distance by ultrasonic, broadcasting distance by sound, extraction turning information, rear monitoring and drawing lines to induce backing. The article presents the detailed circuits of every part and the method of selecting processor in design. The important part of the system is to display the track to induce backing according as turning information. In order to calculate the exact track of backing , this paper establishes the mathematical model of backing by refering to the latest movement knowledge of car. And the model can be used in different car only by changing some parameters.In addition, this paper investigates the theory of video image and gives the specific method to draw the track to induce backing car.The software of the system has been completed on the integrated development environment of CCS. The paper gives a brief introduction of CCS and the flow chart of the software. It also provides some source code of the software.At last, it sums up and analyses the system's characters on the base of the practical run results.
