Design And Implementation Of A Kind Of Wireless Sensor Network Nodes

The magic development of information technology includings integrated-circuit technology, computing technology and communication technology promote the development and application of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Small sensor nodes self-organized into a network called WSN, which can make information collection and sensing task. WSN have wide applications both in military affairs and cival filed. As the basic supporting platform, both hardware and software design technologies have been the keystone of WSN research.Based on the background above, the wireless sensor nodes described here adopted devices and technologies widely used. Based on analysis of present sensor nodes, we design a kind of sensor nodes based on processor ATmega128L and simple RF(433MHz) technology. The sensor noddes include slave nodes and gateway nodes. After compared the popular wireless communication technologies and considered the system requirement, simple RF technology was chosen becasuse it provided flexibility for the development of wireless communication protocols. All the sensors adopted in the sensor nodes were digital sensors, which could sense temperature, humidity and luminance. In order to surpport further-development, device selection and system design was fully considered, necessary interface resources were reserved for other kind of sensors. Both hardware and software design and implementation of the sensor nodes were presented and according conclusions were given, experiment showed that the nodes could organize into a network and users could obtain the real-time parameters of the environment through the intercommunication between the gateway nodes and the internet.The design and realization of the sensor nodes laid foundation for further study of wireless sensor network and provided reference for other development of wirelss embedded communication devices.
