Microwave short-distance target detection radar is widely deployed in car anti-collision system. Since frequency modulation continuous wave radar has high accuracy and relatively simple structure, it has become the most popular technique in car anti-collision system. The development of digital signal process (DSP) has not only made the Fourier tranform faster, but also strengthen the real-time capability of frequency modulation continuous wave radar in distance measuring. And the circuit has become even simpler.In the first two chapters, it introduces how FMCW radar system works and its characteristics which are very useful to car anti-collision detection. Then it proposed a problem that when the radar is measuring more than one target. So the goal of this article is to solve this problem and give out a solution for the car anti-collision system. After analyzed two kinds of method for spectrum-matching, it combines the advantages of these two methods and forms a new way of multiple targets detection. After solved the mutiple target detection problem, it presents a complete solution for car anti-collision system using FMCW radar technology. And it gives every detail on each block of the system, including false target detection, waveform generator and so on.At present, the development of car anti-collision system is equal to the development of FMCW radar system. Many experts are trying to develop superior and stable products. This research shows that digital signal process technique will be more and more inomportant in FMCW target distance detection systems.
