The aircraft icing is regarded as one of the six meteorological factors that affect the flight, and is dangerous to aircrafts. So the research of aircraft icing plays an important role on ensuring the flight safety of aircrafts. Research of flow field and water droplet impingement properties is the base of the anti-icing system.Based on the mechanism of freezing, combining computational fluid dynamics mathematical description of the theory of fluid motion,multiphase flow modeling principle, meshing technology, using a numeral simulation method, the flow and water droplet impingement properties of surface of ice detector are researched. At first, the control equations of the fluid movement are established based on computational fluid dynamics theory in the thesis, including: continuity equation, N-S equation, droplet moving control equation and so on. Standard k-e turbulence model is applied.After sub-regional division, the model of ice detector is processed by MAP. The air containing super-cooled water droplet is regard as two-phase fluid, the first one is continuous phase of air, and the second one is discrete phase of water droplet. So Euler-Lagrange method is used to simulate two-phase fluid. In solving methods, continuous phase of air is solved firstly, then creating discrete phase of droplet and solving coupled flow, the movement of water droplets is tracked and the location of water droplet are recorded. Properties of total collection efficiencies, local collection efficiencies and impingement limits are gained. Properties of total collection efficiencies, local collection efficiencies and impingement limits are gained on different conditions.The droplet impingement properties are researched in this thesis, and they are the base of many facts of research, such as simulation of 3-D model, ice accretion model, analysis and calculation of heat.
