The pollution problem of lake and reservoir is becoming more and more serious, which take bad effect on peoples daily life, The research of environmental protection dredging technique has become the key point of the pollution control.The environmental protection dredging engineering needs not only environmental equipments, but also higher construction precision requirements.The rapid development of computer technique makes it possible for the implementation of the visualization of terrain surface ,also it has already been used in dredging projects.This thesis retrospect the development of the Terrain Visualization and introduces its practical use in dredging construction firstly ,and then explores the main algorithms of the Terrain Visualization based on DEM and simulates the surface of sludge.In addition,this thesis analyzes the algorithms of the earthworks calculation based on DEM,and improves the precision of the earthworks calculation,compared to the traditional algorithms which have special needs of terrain data and can only provide result with lower precision,the new algorithm can correct all the defects.This thesis includes:(1)Studying and realizing the acquisition method for sludge.This thesis analyzes the work principles of the GPS receiver and the sounder,provides program which can receive data from instrument by series port,and transforms the data to DEM.(2)The deep research of algorithms of the Terrain Visualization.This thesis simulates the algorithms for TIN generation , improves the efficiency of the algorithm.This thesis also set up a new algorithm named The Enveloping Triangular Network.which can simulate the terrain surface, figure out the form of the work area, and eliminate the redundancy triangles effectively.(3)The research of the algorithms of earthworks calculation based on RSG and TIN,This thesis also applies the algorithm for contour line based on TIN.The result of this thesis has been applied in YueHu dredging projects in WuHan.
