MES fills the communication gap between the Manufacturing planning system (MRPII/ERP, etc.) and the control systems used to run equipment on the shop floor. It manages tracks and controls the producing process and roundly integrates the producing process with labors, materials, equipments etc. However, most MES systems neglect the integration with other application information systems, such as MRPII/ERP, CAPP, etc. It results in that MES can't realize the manufacturing process integrating with materials flow, quality control and process planning.This paper has been used for Automobile production line and has created a J2EE-based MES having attribute of open, integrated and expandable, has researched on the key technologies of MES. The paper has also detailedly discussed the structure of expandable MVC, has sufficiently introduced the three layers of structure of MVC, has put forward the applied structure of expandable MVC in Automobile industry to meet the demand of Automobile industry. This paper have brought forward the structure of integration in MES and upper level ERP system and in MES and lower level automatic system. According to this structure, the MES could effectively integrate with the upper level ERP system and lower level automatic system. This paper also provided many resolve scheme and resolve instance about integration.The MES introduced by this paper has originally adopted the unified develop method both in high-rise design and in lower-rise design .has brought forward the frame of high-rise design of MES software based on J2EE technology, large amount of design pattern having applied in the frame, having sufficiently thought system expansion, reusability and expendability, made MES software having much better compatible structure. Lower-rise design mainly based on the OPC technology, has developed the OPC client,. The OPC technology had shielded the differences of low level hardware which having much better compatibility. MES system has improved work efficiency, has saved work hours and has got fine application effect. Finally, the paper has carried out summary and prospect.
