The Research & Implementation Of Integration Test And Testing Tool In The Soft-Switch System

Soft-Switch is the core technique of Next Generation Network (NGN).With the development of Soft-Switch technology, the quality of the Soft-Switch call server product becomes the focus that people pay attention to. As an important component of software testing, Integration test occupies a pivotal position in the development process of Soft-Switch System. The thesis focuses on integration test and the design of testing tool in Soft-Switch system.Firstly, the thesis briefly introduces the network structure and interface protocols, and takes a Soft-Switch call server as example, introducing the module design and net element, and analyzing the various standard protocol message flows with different terminal access and through different trunk in the system.Secondly, considering the importance of integration test in Soft-Switch system, the author analyses four common strategies and their advantages and disadvantages, and studies the integration test based on Soft-Switch system. Then the thesis introduces two common used methods of searching for bugs: log hierarchical print and automatic tool of unit test used in integration test, and their faults and merits. Based on this, it is necessary to design an integration test tool Call Trace.Thirdly, it introduces the design of call trace that is used for integration test of call server. Call trace consists of call trace agent module on server and call trace terminal on client. It describes the details of functional structure, module decomposition and process flow and discusses how to optimize the arithmetic of Call Trace tool Graphical User Interface (GUI).Finally, it describes the applications and advantages of the tool Call Trace in integration test. It can trace any call with different terminal access and through different trunk in the system. And it can be applied to many situations of integration test with vivid description of call flow and detail analysis of message information element (IE). Especially, Call Trace can also trace some particular messages on demand.
