With the development of the soft-switch technology, which is based on NGN network, more and more enterprises are going to integrate the current data-exchange network and the telecommunication network into the future network. In order to meet the needs for transmitting various voices, files and images, combining PSTN and VOIP together is a new developing trend in the telecommunication field. IP-PBX is the typical device for this combination. The main content of this thesis is IP-PBX call routing system, which is in the control-layer of IP-PBX devices. Under the call routing system's control, different kinds of terminals can make telephone calls to each other. Besides finding a right way for a call, call routing system can also take many other complicated functions such as restricting unauthorized calls and implementing user's flexible call services.During the period of maintenance and development work on IPX products in the Simton Company, the author has made research on the IPX call routing system and found many shortcomings, such as dial plan design is not complete, the structures of routing message are not united, a lot of routing data is obtained duplicately and call routing analyzing is divided into too much flows. These shortcomings can affect the efficiency of the call routing system. After comparing with many kinds of solutions, the author designs IPX 1.2-version call routing system structure. And based on these work, implement a new call routing software module for Simton Company's IPX products.This thesis makes research on the call routing system. In the first...
