"Women are not born, but shaped", Simon·Bo Fuwa points out that the decisive factors of women development are not the biological ones, but more fundamental social and cultural factors. Under the background of the feminism media research, this thesis explores the television culture about women's reproduction and interpretation which conceives by the most influential mass media-television in contemporary China, and analyses how TV news, commercial advertising and teleplay to disseminate women's voices and shape the image of women.At first, this thesis states the theoretical basis for the feminism media research and the context of TV transmission in China. Then it selects TV news, commercial advertising and teleplay to inspect which all have higher ratings, and analyses the discourse power of women which displays in TV news, the status of women in commercial advertising and the images of women which shape by teleplay. This thesis concerns on women's real living conditions in the process of social changes, and probes into sex discrimination in TV dissemination, and further more, founds out the reasons for the deviation of the images of women which is produced by TV programs. At last, this thesis advocates that TV media should to shoulder social responsibility, enhance the awareness of gender, and strengthen to disseminate the ideas of gender equality, so that to promote the harmonious development of relations between women and the media.This thesis adopts qualitative research in methods, and collects and analyses the relevant data with a comprehensive study of literature research methods, case analytic approach, and comparative research methods and so on, and see the problem from the angle of Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Women's studies, Literature, Sociology, Cultural studies and other academic knowledge, striving to achieve a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of this problem.
