The Research Of Mobile Learning System Design And Development Based On Smart Phone

The rapid development of information technology promotes the information process of the whole society, and has also stepped up its education towards modernization and the pace of informationization. As an important education form, distance education will have a rapid development with the development of the information technology. The mature of the Computer technology, multimedia technology, wired communication technologies makes the means of long-distance education have a qualitative leap and also make long-distance education have a significant development and a great success in recent years. With the mobile learning is being widely used and the development of mobile communications network, mobile Learning gradually becomes the trends and hot spots in the research and application of the long-distance education.Mobile learning (in short M-learning)is a combined product of the digital learning and the wireless mobile communication technology, it takes the mobile phone, the PDA and the other mobile terminals as the study tools, delivers the teaching information by wireless communications technology, also it is a learning mode that the learners can study at anytime and in anywhere. It has the characters of flexibility, efficiency, interactivity, extensiveness, personality and so on, it can bring the learners the new feelings of studying at anytime and in anywhere. Mobile Learning is a new developing research field and the study on it is still very limited. Till now, there are not concrete, ideal Mobile Learning systems in wide area . So the key of research on Mobile Learning, the design and development of the Mobile Learning system are important for the development of Mobile Learning and the setting-up of Learning Society.WAP2.0 is the WAP version published by the WAP forum in June 2001. It makes a lot of optimization and improvement on the basis of the Wapl.x. The designated development language XHTML MP and WCSS have a richer form and can be more exact in describing content. Therefore it has a unique advantage in developing the mobile learning platform. Based on the above issues of this paper, from the view of practice, through research, comparison the theory of study based on Mobile Phone, the author proposes that the establishment of WAP2.0 learning support network platform based on the Mobile Phone is the best way to learn and the trend to apply. As the core of this research work, the author design and develop a Mobile Phone WAP2.0 learning support system as a network platform and finally hope for providing recommendations and information with the in-depth follow-up study.First, the article starts from the background of this topic. Through carrying on research about related theories and characteristics on smart phone learning, analyze the suitable objects and scopes of mobile learning; carry on feasibility research of study on mobile phone learning application. Then this paper introduces the design of Mobile Learning system, includes systematic design principle, systematic design object, relevant support technology, system structural design and function module design. The last part displays the M-Learning System based on WAP 2.0, including six modules of each function. Each module has a logistic structure, part of the scripts on main function and the picture of the real visualized system.
