Research On Denial Of Service Attack Detection Technology

With the rapid development of the computer and network technology, a variety of network security issues are prominent increasingly, and hacking attacks continue to grow. Especially denial of service attacks is very hard to defense. Faced up to the network environment progressing with each passing day and attack methods emerging in endlessly, many technique dealing with network security problems have been put. Network security is receiving increasing attention. There are more and more illegal attacks in network, which has seriously affected the network performance and security threats to personal privacy. So how to ensure the network security is especially important and intrusion detection technology has become an important research subject.This article first analyzes network security issues and the corresponding network security technology and research the denial of service attack which is more popular in recent years. Then the paper introduces the actuality of network security. The developments, the principles, the classification, the characteristics denial-of-service attacks are analyzed and studied in depth. Furthermore, the related theory of intrusion detection are analyzed and studied in depth. This issue has developed an intrusion detection system with Visual C + +6.0 as a platform. The system detects the flux of abnormal data packets that is based on protocol analysis and pattern match. It uses SQL SERVER database as data storages .setting up LAN simulation environment. The system launches stimulant attacks with denial of service attack tools and analyzes the network flux real-time monitoring of network activity. This article introduces network protocols analysis and abnormal flux detection algorithm. And how the testing process has been studied through the development of intrusion detection system for abnormal packet capture and analysis carried out at the same time with the open source Snort network intrusion detection systems are compared, the intrusion detection system performance on the test, on the whole, it has achieved the desired results.
