Analysis Upon The Conflict Of Ideology In Communication Perspective

This paper attempts to use Communication Studies as the perspective ,use Chinese and Western news media after the Cold War as research topics to investigate the ideological conflicts in news media.the Western news media after the Cold War is a relatively large theme.This paper only select the report for 1999 NATO air strikes against Yugoslavia Embassy,Sino-US plane collision incident in 2001,China's Tibet"3.14"vandalism burning case as a typical case. Based on chinese media of the "People's Daily","Nanfang Daily" and Xinhua News Agency and the Western mainstream media reports of"The New York Times","Washington Post",CNN,BBC to analy,attempt to explore the reasons for the ideology conflict in Chinese and Western news media. And attempt explore improvement of Chinese and Western media situation at the background of ideological conflict to cope with the conditions of the new situation under the globalization Communication. The article is divided four parts to carry on the elaboration.The first chapter mainly explain the relations of communication and ideology. First carry on the analysis to the ideology,Carry on the review to the academic circle about ideology's definition and adopt the definition of the concept of ideology of Professor Jisi Wang."Ideology generally refers to ideas and concepts based on a certain socio-economic system,it represents the interests on a class or social group (including country and country group). In turn, it guides the class or group action."And carry on the description to ideology's characteristic attribute. Next, to elaborat the ideology in communication Perspective. including analy the the similar function of the communication and ideology and interaction between them.The second chapter mainly analyses typical cases in the ideological conflict between the report of Chinese and Western news media after the Cold War .First, account the theoretical basis for the use.The theree cases signed the time span is analysed by using" cultivation " analysis theory .at the same time, focus on the Tibet"3.14"vandalism burning case to analyse by using the "Agenda-setting" theory.Second,argues the basic methods used,including qualitative and quantitative analysis,comparative analysis and emphasis analysis.The third part is the process of analysis and demonstration of the chosen cases.By the annlysis,we can find out the obvious ideological conflicts existed in the report of chinese and western news media.The third chapter mainly about the reason of the ideological conflicts between chinese and western news media.First,the historical and traditonal reason.The effect of the cold war mentality and the difference of Chinese and western cultural tradition,they all have effect on the Chinese and western ideologic.Second,national interests become the fundamental factor to affect the ideological conflicts.Other,some other factor such as political groups,commercial interests,media force and so on,they all can affect the Chinese and western ideological conflicts.The forth chapter mainly about to improve the situation of Chinese and western news media.Discuss about setting the scientific ideological perspect,paying attention to the balance of the report,respect for the news law,enhancing the communication of discourse system and so on.With a view to achieving the ideological integration,change the ideological conflict state.
