As the political and economic development of China, some Chinese scholars have paid more attention to the subject of the media discrimination against China national image by the western main stream media, while the phenomena of media discrimination have long been researched in the academia. The national image can be divided into different dimensionalities as politics, economics, military affairs, diplomacy, culture, environment, social education and country. Taking the dimensionalities as criterions, we can get the conclusions that China Threat has been a key topic in the reports, and the environment pollution is another hot one. While the traditional topics are still not changed. The media discrimination against China national image can be attributed to ideology which is the accepting or rejecting criterion of gate keepers. Ideology also controls the formats and purposes of disseminators and the selective contacts of the object audience. The collectivity unconsciousness psychology, culture misunderstanding caused by its differences and economic interests are the other reasons. To solve the media discrimination against China national image, the following measures should be taken. The government communication system needs to be improvedby the development of government behavior and news press system. The media may adjust to the object audiences' psychology requirements through the accommodations to the thought and language habits. Besides, it requires all the Chinese to exert them to the work such as establishing foreign language media abroad and improve the national image communication to the foreigners in China. Finally, promoting the excellent Chinese culture to the world abroad by deep exploiting its appeal and facilitating the development of culture industry while the 2008 Olympic Games.
