In current times,the dimensions of embedded systems are becoming smaller and smaller.The costs are decreasing gradually.The embedded systems with high processing capacity and small dimensions continuously spring up.Besides,a variety of new wireless communication technologies emerges in an endless stream.The study about machine vision,image processing and other related theories is developing continuously.With the development of embedded technologies, machine vision and wireless communication technologies,the study of wireless image sensor node application gradually gains people' s attention.In the first place,the study of wireless sensor network is firstly introduced in this paper.Rapid development of wireless communication technology has changed people's lives dramatically.Different communication protocols and methods have emerged,including:802.11 series protocols,Bluetooth, Zigbee,WiMAX,GPRS,user-defined protocols and so on.The development of communication technologies promotes greatly the study of wireless sensor network.The wireless sensor network is composed of some nodes with perception.It acquires, perceives and processes all kinds of information on monitoring targets within the detection area.It also transmits relevant information to the users.In the Chinese 'the National Outline for Medium and Long Term Scientific and Technological Development Planning(2006-2020)','sensor network and intelligent information processing' are listed as one of priority themes in the key area of 'information industry and modern service industry' With the development of wireless communication technologies,many communication methods have been used in the wireless sensor networks.The paper analyzes many different communication methods,introduces the study of the wireless sensor network,and points out that the wireless sensor network is application oriented,so the communication methods of wireless sensor node can be designed flexibly according to the specific application requirement.In the second place,the paper introduces the study of machine vision.According to the literature,80%of the information gained by human beings from the external world is obtained through vision.In the process of knowing and changing the world,vision plays quite an important role.Machine vision means endowing machine with certain 'vision' in some aspects in order to finish some tasks.The researchers can not only make machine imitate the vision of human beings,but also make machine imitate the vision of other creatures,with the purpose to help human beings finish the tasks that can hardly be achieved by the vision of human beings.The study scope of machine vision includes the hardware and software technologies of embedded systems,image acquisition,image processing, image analysis and image understanding,pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and so on.Nowadays,machine vision has been applied in some fields.The machine with certain 'vision' can improve work efficiency of human beings,and finish the tasks that can hardly be done by human eyes and obtain accurate measurement and test results.In present times, the new theory and application study of machine vision is developing gradually.The development of related theories of machine vision and image processing will push forward the application study of wireless image sensor network greatly.Furthermore,the study of wireless multimedia sensor network is introduced in the paper.The application study of the combination of wireless multimedia sensor node and machine vision is also been discussed.With the deeper study of sensor network,the low performance sensor node in the past can not satisfy the gradually increasing needs of people such as image information.Therefore,the study of wireless multimedia sensor nodes,especially the wireless image sensor nodes,is gaining more and more attention of people.The studying field of wireless image sensor node includes embedded technologies, wireless communication technologies,machine vision,image processing,intelligent information processing,and sensor technologies,and so on.The paper introduces the study of the wireless multimedia sensor network,and indicates that the wireless image sensor node and its communication method could be designed flexibly according to specific application. Currently,the study of the machine vision of wireless image sensor node has significant research value.With the development of machine vision and embedded technologies,the study of the vision application of wireless image sensor node will be meaningful work.At present,the overtime parking and illegal parking of motor vehicles sometimes occur.For example,the overtime parking phenomena in the place with limited parking time may not be rare.Manual detection of overtime parking and illegal parking is extremely labor-consuming.Many traditional traffic detection systems can not automatically detect the overtime parking.Many traditional loop detectors may ruin the road surface when being installed and maintained.The loops may be out of shape with the road surface.If the road is not in good condition,the life of the loops will be extremely limited. As to the infrared detector,it is easy to be disturbed.Many traditional video surveillance systems have high installation and maintenance costs because of their wire communication methods.Many traditional traffic detection systems are wire communication systems which need to lay lots of lines,so the installation and maintenance expenses is high,and they can not automatically detect overtime parking.For this reason, the paper studies the application of the wireless image sensor node in the detection of overtime parking and illegal parking. The content includes the image monitoring algorithm for detecting overtime parking and illegal parking based on distance table,the license plate identification algorithm based on Bayesian theory and the experimental results.The experimental results show that the image monitoring algorithm for detecting overtime parking and illegal parking based on distance table can identify the motor vehicle and detect overtime parking and illegal parking.The license plate identification algorithm based on Bayesian theory would identify the license plate of the relevant motor vehicle.The current study shows that the topic studied in the paper has important research value.This paper introduces the researches on the wireless sensor network,the wireless multimedia sensor network and machine vision.It also discusses the deployment of wireless image sensor node.And the paper studies the application of wireless image sensor node in detecting overtime parking and illegal parking,The content includes the image monitoring algorithm for detecting overtime parking and illegal parking based on distance table,the license plate identification algorithm based on Bayesian theory and the experimental results.Some time in the future,with the development of machine vision,embedded technologies and wireless communication technologies,the application study of wireless image sensor node will gain more and more attention.And the wireless image sensor network will have broad prospects.
