Online teaching is becoming increasingly the important way to get prompt learning chance, due to its availability anywhere and anytime, and with the rapid development of information technology and computer network technology. However, many teaching schemes and methods in the current online teaching systems can hardly provide learners with personalized teaching service, for they do not take students' practical situations into account to some extent.So, this dissertation aims to explore the theory and technique needed to build personalized online teaching system, with the help of context-aware technique.This dissertation proposed OUCM (Ontology-based User-centered Context Model) and context system conceptual architecture. On the basis of the work, we put forwarded online teaching system architecture and implemented a prototype system.Firstly, on the basis of the present context definition and related models, this dissertation proposed our context definition, OUCM (Ontology-based User-centered Context Model) and context system conceptual architecture, which has the following proposal: description of context information with ontology, construction of components in hierarchical way, personal services based on user activities. Secondly, with deep analysis of present method of Ontology construction and based on our teaching experience, this dissertation proposed a new method of Ontology construction and built some related ontologies ("C language and programming " ontology, user ontology, teaching resource ontology, etc.), in addition to taking Fuzzy Model in the Ontology construction. Thirdly, with analysis of requirement of online learning system, this dissertation put forwarded the Agent-based system architecture and the design idea, discussed the test theory and algorithms, suggested the method of capturing raw context, and implemented the system. Finally, the system was tested with the simulation model and proved to be effective.
