Electrical prospecting is one of the most important branches of geophysics, and the internal engineer has developed a lot of excellent electrical software. However, among the electrical software, some has single function, and some specific the quipment. In addition, the equipment and the corresponding software are expensive,. Therefore, we need to develop a comprehensive set of software, making the work of electrical prospecting costs and enhance efficiency.The Magnetotelluric is the electromagnetism method of a kind of natural source in frequency area. It takes natural flat surface electromagnetic wave as a field a source. Through watching electromagnetism field in the earth's surface, to obtain underground electricity structure information. The Magnetotelluric can measure the depth. After sorting the data, we can process the Magnetotelluric data with different methods.The MT 2D Forward and Inversion Software System studied in this paper is based on the platform Visual C++, the facture of interface and some code is rely on the Microsoft foundation class, which is very useful. MFC stands for Microsoft foundation class, which is perfect combination about object oriented program and application frame. It also does some assorted encapsulation on traditional application interface, and establishes programmed frame class. So, we just append some codes. The forward calculation about IP or DC sounding and the analysis about some curves and pictures can be done by mature functions.The following work has been studied in this work:â…°. Investigate the Magnetotelluric data processing software present, analyzed the existent problem; Frame the research direction of this paper. â…±. Completed format read of data, for different data files to take the appropriate way to read.â…². Completed the display and editing of the measurement data. Completed curve mapping and the cross-section mapping, which can show different curve of different parameters and or different cross-section of different parameters. Axis can also set the scope of the view, set up the equivalent diagram color code, modify the color bar, and so on.â…³. Build the forward model. Initialize the forward model by setting parameters and the background resistivity. Edit the forward model through mouse events, and modify the resistivity.â…´. Forward Computing, Inversion Computing and the result display.â…µ. Split the client region, which can show different cross-section of the curve or filled map in the same area.
