Recently, more and more attentions are put on the effect of radon to human health. At the same time, the monitoring and measure of radon have been a common focused problem in many science fields. Therefore, efficient, stable and accurate radon monitor is the key technique.The advantages ofαspectrum-type radon monitor are its accuracy, the wide range of application, the high discrimination on radon daughters, and its relatively simple circuit structure. These make it become a trend of development on radon monitor. Theαspectral data acquisition system is a key part of theαspectrum-type radon monitor. Theαspectral data acquisition system is based on many fields, such as nuclear technique, electronics technique, and computer technique.In order to design a new type ofαspectrum data system, I studied and designed a new type ofαspectrum data acquisition system, based on AVR MCU. The system has theαspectrum data acquisition, display, save, upload, and other functions. At the same time, the system also provides real-time clock, and digital thermometer. This system not only use theαspectral analysis methods, which can improve the accuracy of measurement of radon daughters, and have a clever circuit design, user-friendly human-machine performance, and intelligent high intensity, so these will provide some valuable materials to the further study in the relationship of radon and environment.The hardware circuits of data acquisition system include: the main amplifier circuit, multi-channel pulse height analyzer circuitry, power circuit, and the microprocessor system circuit, which include liquid crystal display circuit, keyboard circuit, real-time clock circuit, JATG ICE simulation circuit, ISP download cable circuit, the serial communication circuit, digital thermometer circuit. All microprocessor code is written by ICC language. The environment of development and simulation are respectively the ICC AVR and the AVR Stduio4.0.
