A modern terminal guidance radar should be able to complete target detection, target identification and precision track in complex battlefield environment. So most advanced terminal guidance radars adopt technologies such as complete-coherence, pulse compression, frequency agility, monopulse angle tracking, track-while-scan (TWS), and so on. Thus modern terminal guidance radars have the features of far effect range,strong anti-jamming ability, high guidance precision, etc. A new terminal guidance radar processer is introduced in the dissertation. At first,the basic theories of the system and methods of signal processing such as orthogonal transform, digtal pulse compression,velocity compensate, anti-chaff jamming,monopulse angle tracking,etc. To research into the design and engineering implement of signal processor which is based on high performance DSP ADSP-TS101 and FPGAs,and the software of the system was design elaborately. In combination of analysis of real data, the paper presents an effective target recognition method which is based on the chaff spectral expansion effect.The result proved the system reaches the request of target identification,target tracking basically.The signal processor system has advantage with little volume,easily programme,which can be drawn lessons from by other terminal guidance radar.
