Design And Realization Of Alarm Management System In NodeB

Along with the development and market use of 3G networks, the construction of a effective network management system becomes more and more important. Network element management is the most basic unit, in which alarm management has played a quite important role. Therefore, it is of great significance to build up efficient network element alarm management system. Based on TMN management model, NodeB (Node Base) alarm module in WCDMA Operation Maintenance (OM) system is designed and implemented in this dissertation.Firstly, this dissertation analyses TMN management model and introduces network element management method. Then according to the framework and software architecture of NodeB, NodeB OM model is researched and NodeB alarm management system is designed and implemented under the framework of NodeB OM. In the process of designing the NodeB alarm management, the major technologies of fault management, fault analysis and correlation principle are investigated. Then through the analysis of general fault management system points, the steps and methods of alarm management designation are proposed. Finally, the core design ideas are concluded. In the implementation of alarm management module, we have accomplished the optimization of data structure, establishment of alarm report process, proposal of novel alarm synchronization mechanism, realization of iterative alarm inhibit process, fault self healing and correlation process in this dissertation.
