This paper studies theoretical modeling and digital simulation methods of laser scattering characteristics of target and background.Taking the research of some weapon system as applied background, it makes the digital simulation of target and background reflecting signal,as well as laser atmospheric transmission characteristics,of semi-active laser guided weapon system,By using the parametrization model of bidirection reflecting distribution function of rough surface,the description of background can be researched through two statistics models of random field,one is random distributing model of surface structure,the other is lightness coefficient random model of background.So,the research method is simpled and we obtain valuable results.In the theoretical study of the target light scattering characteristics, this paper summarizes the theory of wave transmitting in random dielectric, analyzes and induces the parametrization model of bidirection reflecting distribution function.In this paper, laser atmospheric transmission attenuation characteristics of the weapon system are analyzed and computed.Practicability and simplicity are considered firstly when building a model of laser atmospheric transmission,which is applied at engineering.The paper calculates the error margin of aerosphere distributing in different height,and will shorten the time of calculating and provide the efficiency of calculating on precondition of expect precision. The simulation result has been used in the development of a weapon system; and the application state is good.
