Research On Performance Tuning And Optimization Of Application Based On ORACLE Database

After Stepping into the 21 centuries, the information construction is developing deeply into every walk of life in our country. The enterprise pays more attention to the performance of application, especially these corporations that have demands of large data volume transaction and fast response time. The performance tuning and optimization of application includes: tuning of application, tuning of operation system, tuning of hardware, and tuning of database. The tuning and optimization of database is the most important part of it. The tuning performance of database which constructs multiple levels will promote the efficiency of database and reduce the consumption of resource by digging the bottle-neck problem using the performance tuning methodology.This article introduces the concept of oracle database system; expound the theory about tuning and optimization performance of database. Introduced the index that evaluates the performance of ORACLE database. Based on the example of telecom business integration application and experience of performance tuning of oracle9i database, this article analyze the tuning and optimization performance of database in SQL statement tuning, oracle memory tuning, tuning of installation and configuration on ORACLE database. It researches the tuning technique how to apply in the application system. At the beginning and the end, it compared and analyzed the collected data about the whole database performance, then improved the technique is very important in database performance tuning. Finally, it concluded the general rule about how to apply the techniques of database tuning in application system based on ORACLE database.By tuning the database performance, it promoted the efficiency in using resource, speeded the application system, and increased the volume of transaction and guaranteed the running of application, so it is valuable to the efficient running of applications...
