This dissertation takes the project of Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Science & Technology as the background, which is called research and development of wheel scar detection platform. This platform uses a reasonable kind of structure and some new design methods, which uses the embedded system to realize the sample, processing, transmission and storage of flatwheel's data. In this topic, the author takes charge of the CPU controlling system of the detection platform, which is based on the application of ARM embedded realtime operating system VxWorks, the major assignment includes the data's temporary storage, reorganization and network controlling protocol's processing.First of all, this paper introduces the background and the significance of flatwheel detection platform, consequently introduces the design method and the structure of the embedded platform, it describes the principle of work and characteristic, and then it cleares about the major task and the goal. Second, conbined with our topic, the paper introduces the related knowledge of ARM microprocessor and the realtime operating system VxWorks. Afterward, the paper divides the topic with two aspects: hardware design and software design: The hardware takes S3CxxBx as the major control chip and describes the detail of each function module circuitry, including memory system module, HM interface module, communication module and so on. At last we will carry out the quite integrated hardware to provide a condition for VxWorks RTOS. In the aspect of software, the paper takes a reseach on Board Support Package of VxWorks and the drivers of hardware device; Then according to the function request, the paper elaborates each development of VxWorks user programmer's design, which mainly includes three parts: network multi-tasks communication, hardware management and WindML's development. It gives many figs of software and programming code. The last of the paper is the united debugging process of the whole detection platform which introduced the test methods and experiment results.The topic uses a typical design method to realize the control system of flatwheel detection. The development attains period achievement and shows the future direction. In addition, there are lots of design methods and development experience in the paper, which have certain instruction significance to related control domain.
