Satellite position system is becoming more and more important in high-tech warfare as the rush of information technology. Most developed countries are striving to be the first to develop their own satellite systems in order to get an initiative place when a war is broke out. BD-1 system is Satellite position system which is developed by our own technique. The BD portable receiver is the portable final receiver which is developed, based on the BD-1 system. Man-machine interface is an important component of the satellite position system receiver. It deals with the results of data in an appropriate way to show users, and receives user input for processing.This thesis mainly discusses the design and realization of application-embedded software of parachutist navigation and communication, which is based on the BD system. This system's operating system is VxWorks, and the framework WindML was used in the development of the embedded applications software. This article detailed discusses the design and implementation of the application software input method and the message communication part. The message communication interface is designed following principle of beauty and practicality. In addition, the corresponding send and receive communication algorithm of message has been designed. For input method part, in accordance with the current most popular mobile input method - T9 input method the input method is designed too. During the process of input, the input way could change between the Chinese characters and English letters, numbers and symbols through the g_bInputMode, which is the sign of the value. This meets the user's requirements of inputting the message of Chinese characters and code, and the system's functions. Chinese character input method of input method is that part of the key, therefore, this article discusses it systematically. Then, the realization of each module and interface are discussed in detail according the design scheme. The embedded application software was finally well done, and was applied in the user receiver. After the whole project team's efforts, the application system can run stably and dependably, content to the user's requirements.
