With the fast development of sensor technology, endless appearance of MCPU system, improvement on the integrated level and function of single chip microprocessor and decreasing in the price, all these make it possible to make up a intelligent detection system with MCPU.The hot load meter system base on dual of single chip was introduced by emphases. Because of the furnace iron making, the hot load of the furnace cooling water need to be monitored in order to acquire the state of blast furnace inner. This paper emphasized to introduce that the measurement principle and the research process of the velocity of flow and temperature of the hot load meter. The design of the structure of the meter, measured circuit and software are introduced in detail. The system design of hot load to be on-line monitored base on the hot load meter and the software design and development of the control computer are described.It is resolved that the real-time problem of the signal collected, the data processed and communication, because of the memory be shared by two AT89C2051 of high performance price ratios in the hot load meter. The digital heat load meter base on Modbus protocol had been designed, creatively integrated the traditional fiowmeter and thermometer with a mature technique. The meter is priced lower, and provided a kind of useful detection way for the furnace iron making, with the hot load meter constitute of system for the longevity of the furnace provided a certain guarantee efficiently.
