As the radio access layer, present wireless Base Station has some drawbacks. As a solution, herein the paper gave a new Base Station design architecture in three steps, which uses the Serial RapidIO as the standard interconnection technology.Our proposed model was verified through experimental study. The verification was based on the NGFS (Next Generation Fabric Switch system), which designed and made under the ZTE Co.'s Base Station design.The NGFS supplied the RapidIO mesh network, which was a full-connection topology. The test data was generated in two ways, one was the real world End-User data, and one was made by the FPGA inside the board. The system management hosts were redundancy. The flow congestion management method was the initiative detection and report of the threshold water level.The result experimental data showed that, the all RapidIO framework wireless Base Station means for better performance, scalability, fault tolerance and flexibility. The proposed model can shorten the system design periods; release the software and CPU management resources.
