The coal mine safety monitoring system acts as an "electric policeman" that can safeguard the coal mine safety production, and plays the important role in strengthening multi-level supervision and management of the coal mine safety production. The dissertation deals with the present technology status of the coal mine safety monitoring field, summarize its advantages and disadvantages, and develops a coal mine safety monitoring system based on CAN-BUS, which has the features of long distance communications, high data transmission speed, good real-time monitoring and convenience of network connection. In particular, we propose the design principle of hardware and software about monitoring slave station, which is based on the ARM micro-controller andμC/OS-II embedded RTOS. Moreover, we discuss several important technology problems for CAN-BUS communication technology systemically.The details of this dissertation are presented as follows.1. The present technology research status of domestic and overseas coal mine safety supervision system is discussed, and their ubiquitous deficiencies of the system in our country is mainly analyzed.2. The structure, characteristic, function, performance and other technical requirement of the coal mine safety monitoring system are introduced.3. The characteristics and development trend of various field bus and their application field are outlined. The characteristics and layered structure of CAN-BUS are mainly analyzed. In addition, the performance of CAN-BUS is evaluated from the aspects of the real time characteristic, reliability and the rate of channel utilization.4. The basic structure and physical implementation of coal mine safety monitoring system based on CAN-BUS are investigated, and the design principle of hardware and software of the monitoring slave station based on the ARM micro-controller LPC2292 and uC/OS-II embedded RTOS is given.5. Several key design considerations of the coal safety monitoring system base on CAN-BUS are proposed, which consist of the protocol design of the CAN application layer, the design of EMC base on CAN-BUS communication, andthe computational technique of bit-timing parameter of CAN controller. The coal mine safety monitoring system has been verified through testing within enterprises. Every technology parameter satisfy the requirement of《General technical requirement of coal mine safety supervision system AQ 6201—2006》. This system has the features of advanced technology, good practicability, high reliability and high ratio of performance and cost so that it can completely satisfy the requirement of industry user. In conclusion, it has good market prospects.
